Apple iPad Pro Being Outsold By Cheaper Apple Tablets

Worldwide and tablet sales are in decline. It’s a trend that’ s being seen everywhere. The bubble appears to have burst in favor of larger smartphones and smaller laptops.

The Apple iPad Pro was marketed as being a replacement for desktop PC’s. A tablet with the power to do almost anything. It may be that – but changing consumers way of thinking is a much harder task and for most, the tablet is for social media and reading the news.

Apple has been selling more if it’s older models of iPad such as the iPad Air 2 and the iPad Mini 4 – even though the cost of these tablets has also risen. iPad sales declined overall but iPad related revenue remained stable thanks the iPad Pro’s hefty price tag.

Vendors shipped a total of 43 million tablets in Q3 2016, marking a 14.7 percent devline from Q3 2015. Apple was the top seller of tablets with Samsung coming in second followed by Amazon, Lenovo and Huawei.
