Apple Now Faces Multiple Lawsuits After Admitting Slowing Down iPhones

Several lawsuits brought against the US tech giant claim the company defrauded iPhone users by slowing down their phones without warning.

Last week Apple finally admitted to something that had long been suspected.  The company had been slowing down older models of iPhone via software updates.  The company claimed this was done to keep the phones running at optimal performance and to prolong the life of aging batteries.

But many users feel defrauded by the company have filed lawsuits in the US seeking a call to action status that would potentially represent millions of users.

The lawsuits – filed in the U.S District Courts in the states of California, New York and Illinois make multiple claims including the notion that iPhone users may have attempted or even paid for repairs to their phones, which would have been futile and a waste of time and money. How Much Does an iPhone X Actually Cost? A Lot Less Than You Might Think!

The iPhone X is the most expensive smartphone Apple has ever produced.  But how much does the device actually cost to make.  Not as much as you might think it turns out.

The iPhone X starts at £999 for the cheapest model and can run you up to £1348 if you opt for the larger storage size and Apple Care extended warranty.  That’s a LOT of money for a smartphone of any description.

The iPhone X’s striking design doesn’t bring too many new features to the table.  Facial recognition and emojis that match your face aside, the iPhone X was still seen as behind Samsung and other Android devices in many areas.

That aside, the iPhone X still sold out on release and back orders are just beginning to be fulfilled.  As with most other Apple devices before it, the hype matched customer demand and the device was hugely sought after. A Fake Cuphead Game Made Into On The Apple App Store

Apple’s App Store has long been touted as a bastion of quality in terms of the applications it hosts. Unlike Androids Play Store, the apps it allows onto the service are much more heavily regulated and quality tested. So when a fake version of Cuphead appeared on the app store, questions were asked.

The report first came via TorchArcade and stated that a version of the Microsoft exclusive game had appeared on the App Store – with a link to what appeared to be a legitimate game. Everything looks above board with real game screenshots and the studios name – StudioMDHR – as the seller. But when you take a closer look, the support page links to “studiomhrgames.com” as opposed to the correct URL – which is “studiomdhr.com”. Once the game is purchased you’ll also see an incorrect company name in the form of “Studio MDHR Entertainment Inc”. Continue reading A Fake Cuphead Game Made Into On The Apple App Store
